When I first listened to "Khola Khare" by Purna Rai, I was deeply moved. The lyrics are so raw and real - and they truly come from a place of pain. Purna Rai himself shared that while he was thinking of creating this song he remembered a real-life tragedy involving his neighbour's child, which inspired the lyrics.

A child, unaware of danger, ran toward the stream,

Suddenly, society rose in panic to search,

Everyone cried out but no one could stop it.

The river swept him away,

He must have thought of his mother and father
